Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, October 6, 1992 
Rebecca A. Welch of the 400 block of Chapel St., died Oct. 3, 1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. Welch was born in Richmond. She had retired from Sentara Norfolk General
Hospital as a supervisor after 40 years. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist
Church and United Order of Tents. She was the widow of William S. Welch.

Survivors include a daughter, Ethel Mosley of Norfolk; two sons, Gene L. Welch
and Frank T. Welch, both of Norfolk; 30 grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Mount Zion Baptist Church by
the Rev. Rayphield Clay. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will
assemble at 2131 Ballentine Blvd. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m.
Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
