VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Kathryn Burke Wells of 4625 Bunker Hill Lane, the widow of 
Otto Wells, who formerly owned a chain of theaters and also operated Ocean View 
Amusement Park, died Friday in a hospital.
Mrs. Wells was born in Norfolk and lived in Tidewater all of her life. She was a 
member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Philip Dean and Mrs. Sam Maier Subers of 
Norfolk; and a nephew, Martin Cahill of Virginia Beach.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, for a funeral 
Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk.
