                   MRS. BARBARA WELLS DIES AT OCEAN VIEW
  
     Had Recently Returned From Florida, Where She Sought To Regain Health

Mrs. Barbara Wells, mother of Jake and Otto Wells, died at Ocean View hotel at 
4:20 o'clock Sunday morning following a long illness, aged 76. Mrs. Wells went 
to Florida some time ago in an effort to regain her health and returned early 
last week. Her only daughter, Mrs. Ben Dunham, was with her at the time of her 
death. Mrs. Wells had been a resident of Norfolk for sixteen years and had a 
host of friends in this city and vicinity. The funeral will be held from the 
Church of the Sacred Heart at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning.

WELLS, EMMA BARBARA — At Ocean View hotel, Sunday, June 22, 1919, at 4:20 
o’clock a.m., EMMA BARBARA, widow of George S. Wells, in the 76th year of her 
age.
Funeral services at Sacred Heart Catholic church TUESDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s cemetery.
