Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, November 17, 1992 
Mary E. Wells of the 1000 block of Dubose Drive in Norfolk, died Nov. 15, 1992,
in Norfolk General Hospital.

Mrs. Wells was born in Norfolk. She was a member of Gideon's Missionary Baptist
Fellowship Church and its Floral Club.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin B. Wells Sr.; four daughters, Carolyn
Simmons of Norfolk, Marsha Wells of Hampton, Thelma D. Bozarth of Atlantic City,
N.J., and Frances Harris of Vineland, N.J.; two sons, Melvin B. Wells Jr. of
Killeen, Texas, and Donell Wells of Romulus, Mich.; four sisters, Essie Harris
and Derrell Jacox, both of Norfolk, Mildred Cartwright of Virignia Beach and
Louise Tilliman of Albany, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; three nieces; and four nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Gideon's Missionary Baptist
Fellowship Church by the Rev. Dr. Milton Reid. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, in charge.
