NORFOLK - Mrs. Lena Wells, 81, of 2618 Ludlow St. died Sunday at 6:40 a.m. in a 
Norfolk nursing home after a short illness.

She was the widow of Edward Wells. Born in Oxford, N.C., she lived in Norfolk 61 
years. She was a member of the Church of God and True Holiness where she was 
recognized as a Church Mother.

Surviving are two sons, Edward wells and James wells, and a daughter, Mrs. Minnie 
Wells Braxton, all of Norfolk. The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home.
