For Miss Crissie, as she was called by her hundreds of friends, is dead. The end came at the institution which she loved so well and where she was so beloved yesterday morning at 12:45 o'clock after an illness of several weeks from grip and heart trouble. For 12 years her bright spirit and optimistic soul has been to all those who called at the big hospital a shining example of courage superior to physical affliction. For all Miss Crissie had a cheerful word and pleasant smile, even when she herself was not in the best of spirits To her work, as telephone operator and stenographer, she gave her whole heart and soul. Miss Crissie Welsh was a native of Pennsylvania and came to St. Vincent's 12 years ago from Richmond. Her only surviving relative is a brother, James Welsh, of Wellington, Va. The funeral will take place Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock from St. Vincent's chapel and interment will be made in St. Vincent's Cemetery.
