Mrs. Ada Welton, 74, died August 30 in Baltimore MD.  A native of Norfolk, 
Mrs. Welton was the daughter of the late James and Mrs. Ann Welton.  She was 
a member of the United Order of Tents, and the First Baptist Church, 
Lamberts Point, where final rites were held Sept. 4.  The Rev. H. H. Bobbitt 
officiated.

Mrs. Welton is survived by two sons, David of New York and Julian of 
Baltimore MD;  one daughter-in-law, Maggie Welton;  two sisters, Margaret 
Washington and Rebecca Robinson.

Burial was in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery with Hale’s Funeral Home 
in charge.
