The Virginian Pilot March 8,1984
Norfolk - Lois Ester Welton of 1446 Proescher St., a native of South Mills, NC, 
and the widow of James Welton, died Tuesday in a hospital.

Mrs. Welton was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria W. Black of Virginia Beach; two sisters, 
Lucille J. Sawyer of Norfolk and Susie McCoy of South Mills, NC; and a 
grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mount Lebanon Baptist Church 
by Dr. Ronnie Joyner. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence. Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. 
Friday at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in the church at 11 
a.m. Saturday.
