She was a native of Williamsburg and had been a resident of Berkley and Norfolk County for 70 years. She was the daughter of the late Capt. James Selden Dye, of Hampton, and Mrs. Jean Sinclair Armistead Dye, of Portsmouth. Mrs. West was a member of St. Brides Episcopal Church, Berkley, and of Neimyer Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jean S. Weatherly Shields, and a son, Phillip Bevington West, both of Lansdale. The body will be taken from the residence to St. Brides Episcopal Church, Berkley, for funeral services tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. to be conducted by the Rev. David C. George, rector of the church. Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
