Mary R. Westray, 69, of the 6500 block of N. Military Highway, died March 5, 
2003, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. 

``Mae Ruth,'' as she was known, was born in Nash County, N.C., and attended Nash 
County public schools. She was a seafood processor for Georges Seaford and a 
retired seafood processor for Sandler Foods. She was a member of the Women's 
Club of First Baptist Church. 

The widow of Roy Lee Westray Sr., she is survived by two daughters, Gloria 
Ingram of Thomasville, N.C., and Lettie M. Westray of Norfolk; five sons, Roy L. 
Westray of Norfolk, Bobby Westray of Hampton, Larry Westray, Anthony Westray and 
Michael Westray, all of Norfolk; three sisters, Alberta Selby of Virginia Beach, 
Pieatha Brantley of Norfolk and Alice Thorne of Lexington, N.C.; three brothers, 
Jesse Johnson of Newport News, Cullen Johnson and Willie Johnson, both of 
Norfolk; 32 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other 
relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Doretha Williams 
Johnson and her father, Samuel Johnson Sr. 

A funeral will be held Monday at noon at First Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. 
Johnny White with burial in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be today from noon 
to 5 p.m. at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby Street Chapel. Friends are 
asked to assemble at the church.
