Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 ŠThe Virginian-Pilot
Roy Lee Westray Jr., 54, of the 6300 block of Dove St., passed away Jan. 3, 
2008. He was born Oct. 15, 1953, in Nash County, North Carolina and was a 
graduate of Maury High School. He worked as a longshoreman with ILA No. 970 for 
13 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Theresa Westray of Norfolk; 
two daughters, Vanessa Gilliam of New Jersey and Contrina Crawley of Norfolk; a 
son, Craig Pulley of Norfolk; two sisters, Gloria Ingram of Thomasville, N.C., 
and Lettie Westray of Norfolk; four brothers, Bobby Westray of Hampton, Larry 
Westray, Anthony Westray and Michael Westray, all of Norfolk; five 
grandchildren, Shanequa Pulley, Sydney Nelson, Phillip Crawley, Laila Pulley and 
Christiani Fernandez; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will 
be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 
Granby St. The Rev. Melvin Copeland will officiate. Interment will be at Calvary 
Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 834 Reservoir Ave. one 
hour prior to service for procession to the chapel. Condolences may be offered
