Roy Lee Westray Sr., 70, of the 5700 block of Volsung Court, died Jan. 12, 2003 
at Sentara Bayside. 

A native of Nash County, N.C., he was retired as a construction foreman from the 
Local 307 after more than 37 years of service. 

Survivors include his wife, Mary J. Westray ; two daughters, Lettie Westray and 
Gloria Ingram; five sons, Roy Jr., Bobby, Larry, Anthony and Michael; sister, 
Lucille Pettway; three brothers, Irvin, Thurmond and George; 28 grandchildren 
including a special granddaughter, Sydney; six great-grandchildren; and a host 
of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. 

A funeral will be held at noon Friday in the chapel at Metropolitan Funeral 
Service, Granby Street, by the Rev. Joseph Lassiter. Interment will be in 
Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the 
funeral home.
