Virginian-Pilot March 10, 1969
WETZEL, FREDERICK WILLIAM — At his home, 1108 Jackson St., Chesapeake, Sunday 
afternoon, March 9,1969, at 2:30 o’clock, FREDERICK WILLIAM WETZEL, son of the 
late William Wetzel and Mrs. Ruth Wetzel Smith, in the 52nd year of his age. The 
body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, to St. 
Matthew’s Catholic Church for a requiem mass TUESDAY MORNING, March 11, 1969, at 
10 o’clock. Friends are invited. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. 
The family will be at 812 Neptune Ave., Va. Beach.

Additional Comments:
There is a discrepancy between the date of death given on the death certificate 
(March 6) and that given in the obituary.
