Wetzel, 75, well known resident of this section for the past 30 years, died yesterday morning at 1:30 o'clock at the residence, 2319 Eustis Avenue, Newton Park. Mr. Wetzel was a veteran of many years, having participated in the battle of Manila, the Boxer Rebellion, the Philippine Insurrection, and World War I, serving 30 years in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by a son, Frederick W. Wetzel, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. W.C Ullrich and Mrs. W.S. Taylor and two grandchildren, all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
