Virginian-Pilot July 19, 1953
Mrs. Rose M. Weyer, 71, widow of George S. Weyer and daughter of the late Mr. 
and Mrs. Thomas Martin, died yesterday at 5:45 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Weyer was a native of Holyoke, Mass., and had been a resident of Norfolk 
for 35 years, residing at 9418 Chesapeake Street at the time of her death. She 
was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons, George S. Weyer, of the Army, and James F. Weyer of 
Norfolk; two grandchildren; three brothers Michael, Thomas and William Martin, 
and a sister, Mrs. Agnes McCormick, all of Massachusetts.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church, Ocean View, for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial 
will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral 
apartments tonight at 7:30 o’clock.
