Virginian Pilot December 11, 1968

Mrs. Marjorie Ruffin Whaley of 114 W. 32nd St. died Sunday in a hospital after a 
short illness.
A native of Elizabeth City, N.C., she was a daughter of Nathaniel and Mrs. Pearl 
Ruffin and the widow of Joseph Whaley Sr.
She was (a) former member of Queen Street Baptist Church.
She was a cook at Monticello Drive-In.
Besides her parents, surviving are two sons, Joseph Whaley Jr. and Carver Whaley 
Sr. of Norfolk and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Riddick Funeral Chapel. 
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
