Virginian-Pilot February 27, 1937
Charles A. Wheeler, son of the late Charles and Mrs. Elizabeth Woods Wheeler, a 
native and life-long resident of Norfolk, died at 4 o’clock yesterday morning at a 
local hospital. He is survived by one brother, Elmer F. Wheeler; a niece, Mrs. 
Bessie Downey; and two nephews, Elmer P. and James C. Wheeler, all of Norfolk. The 
body will be taken from H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East Freemason 
street, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services this morning at 10 o’clock. 
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
