Virginian Pilot October 6, 1993

David Lee Wheeler, 57, died Sept. 29, 1993, in a local hospital.
Mr. Wheeler was a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary L. Rowe of Norfolk; a son, David H. Wheeler 
of Norfolk; his mother, Peggy Phelps of Colerain, N.C.; a sister, Joanne 
Bazemore of Colerain; two brothers, Bobby Emmett of Colerain and Tillman Phelps 
of Portsmouth; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Magnolia 
Cemetery by Chaplain Robert A. Ellis. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, 
is handling arrangements.
