Alfred Carl Wheeler, 68, of the 5300 block of Challedon Drive, a retired 
maintenance engineer after 30 years, died Sept. 13, 1990, in a Salina, Kansas, 
hospital.

Mr. Wheeler, a native of Marble Falls, Texas, was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic 
Church and International Operating Engineers Union Local 15C. He was an Army Air 
Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Anne R. Wheeler; a daughter, Algus Battaglia of 
Virginia Beach; a son, Alfred M. Wheeler of Woodland Park, Colo.; two sisters, 
Lois Abrams of Spencer, Ind., and Icia Mae Davidson of Marble Falls; and a 
grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church by 
the Rev. Tom Caroluzza. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum. 
Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church. Memorial 
donations may be made to the American Heart Fund. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road 
Chapel, is handling arrangements.
