The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark September 24, 1912


Mrs. Addie A. White died at her home, 404 Bute Street, yesterday morning, after 
an illness of three months, in the 39th year of her age. Mrs. White was a 
native of North Carolina, but had resided in Norfolk for fifteen years. She is 
survived by a daughter, Miss Eva B. Dixon, of Norfolk; two sons, T.L. Dixon and 
C.L. Dixon, both of Norfolk; a mother, Mrs. Melissa Wingfield of Norfolk; a 
sister, Mrs. H. Beadles of Newport News, and a brother F.L. Wingfield of 
Richmond. The funeral will be held at the residence at 3 p.m. Wednesday, and 
will be conducted by Rev. E.P. Miner of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The 
interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
