The Virginian Pilot January 31, 1958
Charles Emerson ("Buck") White, 82, son of Charles E. and Mrs. Frances 
Ballentine White, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died Wednesday night at the 
residence, 302 Botetourt Apartments, 500 Botetourt St.
Mr. White was a member of Norfolk Lodge 38, B.P.O. Elks, and was a former 
member of the Norfolk City Council.  He was a retired chief claim agent of the 
Pennsylvania Railway.
Surviving him are two sisters, Miss Ida O. White and Mrs. Viola W. Zimmerley, 
both of Norfolk.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow at 2 
p.m. by the Rev. Francis J. Brooke Jr., pastor of the Second Presbyterian 
Church.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
