VIRGINIA BEACH — Carl Shelburn White Sr., 80, of the 100 block of Osage St., a 
retired shipping clerk, died May 11,1986.
Mr. White, a native of Mathews County, was the widower of Helen Zoby White. He 
had retired from the Colonial Stores Warehouse after 42 years.
Survivors include six daughters, Mary F. Morris and Sandra K. Pendleton, both of 
Virginia Beach, Shirley A. Brissette of Berlin, Mass., Elizabeth J. Jerome of 
Maynardville, Tenn., and Joann W. Shearin and Judith M. Ferrel, both of 
Chesapeake; a son, Anthony D. White of Norfolk; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-
grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at graveside in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. Randall Childress. The family will be at Smith & Williams 
Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at his home.
