Virginian-Pilot January 9, 1962
PORTSMOUTH — George T. White Sr., 63, of Grassfield, Norfolk County, died Monday 
at 7:30 a.m. while on business in Camden County, N.C., for Richmond Cedar Works, 
where he was a foreman.
A Norfolk County native, he was a son of George T. and Mrs. Juanita White and 
widower of Mrs. Louise Clara White.
Surviving are a son, George T. White Jr. of Deep Creek; a daughter, Miss Dorothy 
Louise White of Norfolk County; a brother, James White of Portsmouth; two 
sisters, Mrs. Alice Harrell and Mrs. Maude Hicks of Spartanburg, S.C.; and two 
grandchildren.
The body was taken to Snellings Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be 
conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. B. B. Bland of Deep Creek Methodist 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will be at 
200 Hopewell Drive, Deep Creek.
