Virginian-Pilot May 10, 1963
NORFOLK - Mrs. Irene Evans White, widow of Harry Thomas White and daughter of 
the late Frank P. and Mrs. Ellen Mary Hickey Evans, died Thursday at 4:25 p.m. 
in her home, 731 Westover Ave.
She was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church.
Survivors include a son, Harry Payne White of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. John 
S. Drew and Mrs. John M. Love of Norfolk; and a granddaughter, Mrs. Ray 
Claiborne Osborne of St. Petersburg, Fla.
The body will be taken from her home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a 
funeral service Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The 
Rosary will be recited in her home tonight at 7:30.
