C-2, yesterday afternoon at 6:10 o'clock after an illness of ten weeks. He was a native of Norfolk and had resided here all his life. He was a son of the late Luther Wesley and Virginia Croel Dawson White, and was a member of Colonial Avenue Methodist Church. Mr. White founded the Marvin D. White & Co. cotton business many years ago, retiring last December. Besides his wife, Mrs. Nellie Lockett White, he is survived by two sons, Allmand S. White, of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and Travis B. White of Norfolk; one brother, Luther W. White, Jr., of Norfolk; one sister, Miss Mary Louisa White, of Norfolk; and two grandchildren Eleanor Anne White of Roanoke Rapids, and Elizabeth Stiles White, of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover avenue, at Manteo street, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. John F, Owens, pastor of Colonial Avenue Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
