Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - December 9, 1993

Thurland Jackson "Skeeter" White Sr., 44, of 700 block of A Ave., a 
companion aide, died Dec. 6, 1993, in his residence.
Mr. White was born in Smithfield, Va., and was employed with the City of 
Norfolk. He was a member of Garden of Prayer Temple in Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Dew White of Goldsboro, N.C.; two 
daughters, Felicia White and Krystle McFadden of Norfolk; three sons, 
Thurland Jackson White Jr., Jerome White and Christopher White, all of 
Norfolk; one sister, Mary Blanch Walker of Smithfield; one brother, Robert 
Lee White of Franklin, Va.; grandchildren, Billy McFadden and Janie 
McFadden; and one godchild, I. Tara Nixon.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Twilight Funeral Home, Norfolk. Burial 
will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the 
funeral home at 1 p.m. for the processional to the chapel.
