Virginian Pilot January 23, 1958

Lewis Randolph White, 60, husband of Mrs. Alice Crump White and son of the late 
William G. and Mrs. Nettie Couch White, died Tuesday at 5 a.m. at McGuire 
Hospital, Richmond. 
Mr. White, claim agent for the N. & W. Ry., was a native of Piedmont, S.C., and 
had been a resident of Norfolk for 35 years, residing at 9308 Hickory St. at the 
time of his death. He was a veteran of World War I. 
Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Randolph C. White, and two 
grandchildren, of Norfolk; three brothers, Edgar D. White of Piedmont, S.C., 
Frank White of Slater, S.C. and Luther White of Pelzer, S.C. and four sisters, 
Mrs. Ellen Browning of Marion, N.C., Mrs. Mary Waldrop of Piedmont, S.C., Mrs. 
Net Patterson of Greenville, S.C. and Mrs. Faye Callahan of Piedmont, S.C.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in 
St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments 
Thursday at 8 p.m.
