Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 7, 1940

Mrs. Lula Virginia Nugent White, aged 71 years, widow of Michael J. White and 
daughter of the late Thelly and Mrs. Frances Hozier Nugent, died at a local 
hospital last night at 7:15 o'clock. Mrs. White was a native of Petersburg, Va., 
a former resident of Norfolk and for the past six years residing in Jacksonville 
and St. Augustine, Fla.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. T.C. Maurer, of Jacksonville; three 
grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Belle Carson, Mrs. R.M. Johnakin and Mrs. 
Ernest Dyer; one brother, C.Q. Nugent, all of Norfolk and several nieces and 
nephews.
Remains were taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, 
pending funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Lula Virginia Nugent White. Remains of Mrs. White, widow of Michael J. 
White, whose death occurred Saturday evening at a local hospital, will be taken 
from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. 
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
