Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 20, 1940

LeRoy Francis White, Jr., aged 16 years, son of LeRoy Francis and  Mrs. Ethel 
Matroni White, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock. He 
was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk and an altar boy at St. Mary's 
Catholic Church. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Misses 
Mary, Ann and Jean White; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ellen Matroni, all of 
Norfolk and several aunts and uncles. The body will be taken from the residence 
of his grandmother, Mrs. Ellen N. Matroni, 1816 Blair Avenue, Gowrie Park, to 
St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. 
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Rosary services will be held at the residence of his grandmother tonight at 8 
o'clock.
