Norfolk Journal and Guide, Oct 10,1942
Norfolk - Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie White, 427 East Olney road, were 
held October 1 at the First Calvary Baptist Church.  The Rev. Charles Williams 
officiated.  Mrs. White died at home on September 28, after a long illness.

She is survived by a husband, John White of this city;  a mother, three 
sisters, all of Suffolk, and three brothers, two of Suffolk, and one of New 
York.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  McCoy Funeral Home was in charge of 
the body.
