White, one of the best known men in this section, died at his home, 107 Second Street, Riverside, at 2:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon, aged 67. Mr. White was a member of the old volunteer fire department and later a driver in the paid fire department. He was for many years keeper of the Campostella Bridge and was keeper of the Tanners Creek Bridge at the time of his death. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Besides his widow, Mr. White leaves four daughters, Mrs. John D. Wood, Mrs. R.D. Gordon, Mrs. T.W. Doughty and Mrs. L.M. Klucz and five sons, H.J., W.S., J.T., J.L. and A.L. White, all of Norfolk and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Moore, of Victoria, Va. The funeral will be held at the residence at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. Joseph Rooney, of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
