Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, February 22, 1991
Roxie M. White of the 2400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., a retired cook, 
died Feb. 19, 1991, in her home. 

Mrs. White, a native of Northampton County, N.C., had retired from Valentine 
Nursing Home after 23 years. She was the widow of Richard White. She was a 
member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. 

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley T. Edwards of Margarettsville, N.C.; a 
son, John G. Parker Jr. of Norfolk; her mother, Jeanette V. Bowden of Seaboard, 
N.C.; a sister, Clarice Jones of Norfolk; a brother, Charlie Harris of Seaboard; 
16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Macedonia United Church of 
Christ by Elder Alfred Wright. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may 
join the family at 2520 Jamaica Ave. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
