Norfolk - Final rites were conducted for George White, of 274 Johnson avenue, 
Sunday, in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. J. J. Freeman.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.  He died April 9 in a 
hospital after a long illness.

A Norfolk native, he was a son of the late Richard White and Mrs. Louise White 
and the husband of Mrs. Elouise White.

He was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church and Bellman’s Beneficial 
Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, William White and 
Richard White, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Watson and Mrs. Maggie Taylor, all 
of Norfolk.
