Deacon Sam B . White , 71, of the 700 block of C Ave., died Nov. 16, 2002. Mr. 
White was born in Nash County, N.C. He was the son of the late Ms. Leoda and 
Lenny White of North Carolina. He was employed at Atlantic Paper Company for 42 
years upon retirement. He was a member of Mason Memorial Church. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lillie White ; five sons and four 
daughters-in-law, Ronald and Dora Harrison, Leon and Barbara White , Michael and 
Sally Harrison and Tyrone Harrison, all of Norfolk, Tommy and Joyce White of New 
Jersey; two daughters, Rosa Harrison Jordan and Sandra Harrison; one brother and 
sister-in-law, Will and Mittie White of Norfolk; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-
grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and 
friends. 

A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Mason Memorial Church in Norfolk. 
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetary. Friends may join the family at 700 C Ave., 
Apt. B . Viewing will be at Hale Funeral Home.
