NORFOLK - Alexander A. White, 79, of 410 E. Berkley Ave., the husband of Mrs.
Kathryn M. White and  a native of Richmond, died Wednesday in Lake Taylor City
Hospital.

He retired from Talon Zipper Co. of New York after 30 years. He was a member of New
Central Baptist Church.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Terrell of the Bronx, N.Y.; a son,
Alexander B. White of Brooklyn; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Chatman Funeral Home, where visitation will be Friday from 1
p.m. until 10 p.m.

A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in New Central Baptist Church by the Rev.
W.B. Westbrook. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at his home.
