Virginian Pilot April 25, 1909

John R. White, who had been under treatment at St. Vincent's Hospital for ten 
days, died at that institution at 5 o'clock yesterday morning in the 76th year 
of his age.  The deceased was a native and resident of Gloucester County, Va.  
He is survived by four children, one son, Ransone White, of Gloucester and three 
daughters, Mrs. A.B. McPherson, of Richmond; Mrs. C.E. Nash and Miss Rosa White, 
both of Norfolk.  The funeral will be held from the residence of his son-in-law, 
C.E. Nash, 975 Fourteenth Street this city at 3 o'clock this afternoon.  The 
services will be conducted by Rev. George E. Booker, D.D., of Epworth Methodist 
Church.  The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
