White, a well-known and esteemed citizen and the pioneer plumbing contractor of Berkley, died at his home, 405 Chestnut Street, yesterday morning at 10 o'clock after an illness of four months. Mr. White was born in Halifax County, North Carolina, but had been a resident of Berkley sixteen years. He was 41 years old and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth D. White, four children, Miss Hilda Marie White, Myron C., Horace E. and Mary Elizabeth White; a sister, Miss Connie F. White; brother, Ernest L. White, latter of Camden, N.J. Mr. White was a member of Norfolk Tent No. 6, Knights of the Maccabees of the World. The funeral services will be conducted at the above residence Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock by Rev. W.R. Flannagan, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church and Rev. E.T. Dadmun, pastor of Memorial Methodist Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
