Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 6, 1941

Mrs. Grace Corinne White, aged 22, of 921 Wellington Avenue, South Norfolk, died 
yesterday morning at 3:30 o'clock at a local hospital after an illness of two 
days.  A native of Norfolk, she had made her home in this section all her life.  
She was the daughter of Milton C. and Mrs. Catherine Dempsey Sawyer.  In 
addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Nocton Allen White and 
one daughter, Grace Corinne White, of South Norfolk, six sisters, Mrs. Emory 
Newton, Mrs. Lee Young and Mildred, Jean, Hester and Patsy Anne Sawyer, all of 
Norfolk, and four brothers, William, Milton C. Jr., Jack and Irving Sawyer.  She 
was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, Jackson and Jefferson Streets, 
South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 4 
o'clock.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
