South Norfolk - Mrs. Esther Virginia White, 54, wife of Norman L. White, of 1338
Porter Street, died yesterday at 2:15 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital after an
illness of three months.

A native of Norfolk, she had lived here for 35 years. She was a daughter of the
late Jackson and Mrs. Alice Tanner Jones.

Besides her husband, surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Alvin Doxey and Mrs.
Alice Nichols, both of Norfolk, and Mrs. Florrie Terry, of Aulander, NC, and one
brother, David L. Jones, of South Norfolk.

The body was removed to Graham Funeral Home, where funeral services will be
conducted tomorrow at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The
family will meet at 932 Stewart Street, South Norfolk.
