Funeral services for James Henry White were conducted Feb. 2 at the Bank Street
Baptist Church by the pastor, the Rev. J. B. Henderson.

Mr. White, who resided at 1116 Oaklawn avenue, died suddenly Jan. 29 in a local
hospital. He was a native of Norfolk and owned and operated the White Auto
Repair Shop at 1305 Church street.

He was a member of the Excelsior Lodge No. 87 A.F. and A.M., the son of the late
James N. White and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Sarah White; wife, Mrs.
Dannie T. White; one son, Alfonzo White and one daughter, Miss Rosa Lee White,
all of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Fitz, NY; Mrs. Marian Hughes and Mrs.
Margie Roberts of Norfolk; and four brothers, Nelson R., William N., Ralph H.,
and Lorimer E. White, all of Norfolk.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in charge.
