Virginian-Pilot  November 24 & 25, 1927
Miles Twyman White, aged 71, died at his home, 1016 West Thirty-fifth street, last 
night at 9:45 o'clock after a lingering illness. He was a retired groceryman. He 
is survived by two daughters, Mrs. L. M. Commodore and Mrs. R. A. Polk; three 
sons, N. F., L. F. and R. J. White, and eight grandchildren, all of this city. The 
body was taken to H. D. Oliver’s funeral apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, 
pending funeral arrangements.

WHITE, MILES TWYMAN – At the residence, No. 1016 West Thirty-fifth street, 
Wednesday, November 23, 1927, at 9:45 o’clock p.m., MILES TWYMAN WHITE, in the 
72nd year of his age.
Funeral services at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church THIS (Friday) MORNING at 10 
o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
