The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark January 22, 1935

Mrs. Carrie Williams White, aged 73, widow of James E. White, died at the 
residence, 204 East Twenty-Ninth Street, yesterday morning at 11:30 o’clock. 
She is survived by two sons, C.L. and Cecil K. White, both of Norfolk; four 
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. White was a native of Currituck 
County, N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 50 years. She was a member 
of Knox Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
