White, Mycologist, Dies; Funeral Tomorrow William Lawrence White, 44, professor of mycology at Harvard University, died Wednesday at his home in Arlington, Mass. He was a native of Pennsylvania, and before joining the faculty of Harvard had done Government work in mycology, the branch of botany dealing with fungi, to guard Army supplies against fungi in various parts of the world. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. White, of Arlington, Mass., formerly of Norfolk; a son, William Richard White, and a daughter, Miss Deborah Anne White, also of Arlington; a sister, Miss Miriam L. White, and a brother, Clarence White, both of Avonmore. The body will be brought to Norfolk, and will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood Cemetery for services at the grave tomorrow at 10:30 a.m., conducted b the Rev. J.A. Chapman, supply pastor of Larchmont Methodist Church.
