The Norfolk Virginian Pilot November 15, 1948
Mrs. Elizabeth Davis White, 68, of 510 Dinwiddie Street, Berkley, died at her 
residence Saturday at 10:15 p.m. after an illness of 14 months. A native of 
Wallaceton, Mrs. White had resided in this section for 50 years. She was the 
daughter of the late William Henry and Mary Elizabeth Foreman Speight and wife 
of the late Ezekiel C. White.
Surviving are two sons, Myron C. White and Horace E. White; two daughters, Mrs. 
George W. Gayle and Mrs. Harry F. Richards, all of Norfolk, and four 
grandchildren.
Mrs. White was a member of the Three Score and Ten Club and a member of the 
Berkley Avenue Baptist Church.
The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley. Funeral services will 
be held today at 3:35 p.m. in the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church. The body will 
lie in state one hour before funeral time. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
