NORFOLK - David Dudley Whitehead Sr., 81, son of the late Capt. John D. 
Whitehead, CSA, and Mrs. Fannie Wright Whitehead, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday at 
his home, 514 Warren Crs. Mr. Whitehead, retired vice president of the Taylor-
Parker Co., was a native of Richmond and had been a resident of Norfolk for 17 
years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are a son, David Dudley Whitehead Jr.; a daughter, Miss Anne Elizabeth 
Whitehead; a granddaughter, Miss Elizabeth Anne Whitehead and a grandson, David 
Dudley Whitehead III.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments today at 
8:30 p.m.
