Virginian-Pilot April 14, 1952
Mrs. Lula A. Whitehead, wife of David Dudley Whitehead and daughter of the late 
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Heggarty, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 12:15 
a.m. She was a native of Richmond and had resided in Norfolk for 12 years, 
residing at 514 Warren Crescent at the time of her death.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, David Dudley Whitehead, Jr., 
and two daughters, Misses Anne Elizabeth and Miriam Lucille Whitehead, all of 
Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments tonight at 7:30 
o’clock.
