Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - November 1, 2007
NORFOLK - Audrey H . Whitehurst , 77, of the 2200 block of Harrell Ave., passed 
away Oct. 26, 2007, in Sentara Leigh Hospital. 

Audrey was a native of Norfolk. She was a domestic engineer at Days Inn for more 
than 25 years. 

Audrey was a widower. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Sheila H . 
Davis of Rockaway, N.Y., and Patricia W. Simmons of Virginia Beach; one son, 
Douglas A. Whitehurst of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four 
great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in New Hope Baptist Church, 395 Old 
Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach. The Rev. E. Ray Cox Sr. will officiate. 
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A viewing will be today from 2 to 8 
p.m. at Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. The 
family will assemble at 812 Hampstead Court, Virginia Beach.
