Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, December 21, 1994 
NORFOLK - Willie Mae ``Teny'' Whitehurst, of the 2400 block of Virginia Beach
Blvd., died Dec. 16, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.

She was born in Norfolk and was a retired elevator operator for the Wainwright
Building. Willie Mae was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, the Usher Board and
was active in the Sunday School class. She participated in the Salvation Army
Home League, the Civic League and Missionaries at the Cogic Apartment Unit until
her illness prevented her participation.

Survivors include one son, Earl Whitehurst III; a grandson, Earl Whitehurst IV;
a cousin, Mary C. Parks; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in Shiloh Baptist Church by the
Rev. John Foster, Pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Community Funeral
Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The funeral procession will
leave from the lobby of the Cogic apartment building. The body may be viewed
before the funeral service at the church.
