Mrs. Ruth R. Whitehurst
Bowie, Md. Mrs. Ruth Russell Whitehurst, 71, of 12414 Skylark Lane died in 
an Odenton, Md., hospital Friday.
She was the widow of Harry S. Whitehurst and a daughter of William J. and 
Mrs. Maude Johnson Russell.
A native of Nags Head, N.C., and a former resident of Norfolk, she lived in 
Bowie a year. 
She was a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her step-mother, Mrs. Mabel Mann of Chesapeake; two 
daughters, Mrs. Thomas Rice of Bowie and Mrs. Mildred Collins of Hansboro, 
Miss., three sons, Richard Whitehurst, William R. Taylor, and Rupert E. 
Taylor of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Waller and Mrs. Beulah White of 
Chesapeake; a brother, William Julian Russell of Chesapeake; 22 
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk, Tuesday at 
11 a.m.
