Virginian Pilot October 31, 1951


Mrs. Ida May Perkins Whitehurst, 93, widow of William J. Whitehurst

died at the residence Lynnhaven, Princess Anne County yesterday at

4:45 PM. She is survived by a son F. Milton Whitehurst, a

granddaughter Mrs. W. B Allen both of Lynnhaven and two great-

grandchildren Miss Carey Allen and William B. Allen. Mrs.

Whitehurst was a native of Camden Co., NC and had been a resident

of Princess Anne County for 80 years. She was the daughter of Dr.

R. C. and Martha Shield Perkins and a sister of the late Dr. R. S.

Perkins. She was a member of Lynnhaven Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral

Home, tomorrow at 2 PM. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery

Norfolk, Va.
